As an independent repair company, we do not honor Apple warranties.

We are not registered with Apple Inc and we are not subscribed to their  Independent Repair Programme. Over the years, we have developed our own understanding of how Apple devices work and have developed our own SOPs that we use to repair Apple devices. And we have our own form of certification that we provide to our students who have succsessfully finished and passed our repair training.

We do not offer Applecre+ services.

Apple Repair South Africa has only one repair center situated at Checkmed Building, 142B Nelson Mandela, Westdene, Bloemfontein, 9300 and does not currently have any other repair centers across South Africa. Repairs from other cities, towns and locations are only mailed to us by customers via our Mail-in Repair Programme.

Yes if iStore said they can not repair your device, Apple Repair South Africa will still repair the device for you.

We specialize in motherboard repairs, so whether is is your iPhone, iPad, MacBook, MacBook, or Mac Studio with a motherboard fault, we will fix it for you.

We offer expedited repair services to clients that are not willing to wait for the normal 3 to 7 days repair turnaround period. A R600 non refundable fee is charged for us to move your device to the front of the repair queueu. Expedited repair services take between a day or 2 to be completed

We always advise our clients who stay far to look for reliable repair companies arround their area, however if they cannot find a reliable repair company in their area, they can send the device to us via our Mail-in Repair Programme.

Yes, alot can go wrong during repairs and in most cases devices will need to be recalibrated once new parts have been installed, this may require restoring the device to its default factory settings which results in data loss. Always remember to do a backup (better safe than sorry). The device can be replaced if damaged but your data can not be replaced if lost, so be safe. Always do a backup as a good practice.

In simple terms storage upgrade means expanding the storage on your device by replacing the storage chip (called Nand).By replacing this chip with the one that  has a higher capacity, we increase the storage capacity on your device.

Storage upgrade is different from buying iCloud storage in a sense that you pay for iCloud storage every month (it's a subscription) while with storage upgrade you only do it once and you can enjoy using your device with heiger capacity.

If done by a personel who is not properly trained, the precedure might be risky. However  seasoned and experienced technicians may perform nand swaps with ease.

iPhone screens can be divided int 5 groups.

1. Original OEM screen....................... These are original Apple displays.
2. Original OEM Refurbished............................ These are original Apple desplays which have undergone refurbishing. The outer glasss might have been replaced by a third pary glass however the display is still the original one.
3. Soft Oled.........................................................These are OEM screens that are very close to the original in archtecture,  functionality and brightness. Some companies sell these as originals. As the name suggests, these have very low defective rate and are reliable.
4. Hard Oled....................................................... Hard Oled screens are not as reliable as soft Oled, however they are better than TFT and Incell.
5. Incell............................................................... Incell screens are assembles by third party companies and have OCA layers inside  and are have the LCD archtecture. Although there are reliable malnufactures of original incell screens in China, the market in South Africa is flooded with cheap and poor quality incell screens. The well known signsture of these cheap copy incell screens is that they drain battery faster, have a very poor resolution amd are thicker campared to other screens
6. TFT............................................................... TFT  screens are similar to incell, however original  incell screens in their genuine  form are far better than TFT.

Yes it is possible for a dvice to be accidentally damaged by a technician during repair, let's be real, mistakes are made by anyone and if any technician claims they have never damaged a device in their repair career, they are obviously lying to you.

When we accidentally damage a device during repair, we quickly alert the client and discuss the way forward. We have  experienced technicians so these cases are rare at Apple Repair South Africa.

iPhones will start being slow once the battery life reaches 80% and below.  For lighter iPhone users, batteries can be replaced after 2 years, for heavy users, the battery may need to be replaced after a year or so.
